About – Arnone’s Car Care Story

Arnone’s Car Care Center was founded in 1956 by Phil Arnone and his brother Mike Arnone in Kansas City, Missouri. Their first service station, located at Independence and Woodland Avenues, was more than just an auto repair shop—it was a neighborhood staple. They didn’t just repair cars; they also provided Standard Oil gasoline, making it a one-stop shop for drivers in the area.
As the business grew, the Arnone brothers saw the need for a bigger, more modern facility. In 1965, they moved their shop to 702 Paseo, shifting their fuel service to Phillips 66 gasoline and expanding their car repair offerings. This move was a game-changer, allowing them to accommodate more customers and solidify their reputation for quality service.

Over the years, Arnone’s Car Care Center became more than just a workplace—it became a family tradition. As Phil Arnone approached retirement, his sons, Steve and Paul Arnone, joined the business, ensuring that the family’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction continued. Their expertise, combined with the trust built over generations, made the shop a preferred choice for car owners across Kansas City. During this time, Arnone’s Car Care relocated again to Admiral and Paseo Boulevards, a high-traffic area where they catered to both locals and travelers. Many customers, including those staying at nearby motels such as the Capri Motel, Ramada Inn, and Admiral Motel, relied on Arnone’s for their car service needs.
